The New Yorker Magazine, Inc.

American weekly magazine focused on intellectual journalism, social commentary, art criticism, essays and fiction writing, among others. The New Yorker was established in 1925 and is currently published by Condé Nast in New York City. The Condé Nast Publications, Inc. purchased The New Yorker in 1985, printing it independently through Advance Publications between October 1988 and September 2000, when it was incorporated as The New Yorker Magazine, Inc. After that, the magazine became part of Condé Nast's primary portfolio.
