Nimbus/CA

Nimbus decided to open a disc manufacturing plant Sunnyvale, CA sometime in 1995, which began operation in 1996. However, Nimbus announced the closure this facility in early 1997 in order to consolidate their US manufacturing operations. Despite this, the "Nimbus/CA" name seems to have appeared in discs matrices for some time after 1997. It is not known whether the plant actually continued to operate after 1997 despite the announcement, or if equipment was shifted to other Nimbus facilities without updating this text impressed onto discs. Nimbus also acquired HLS Duplication Inc., a turnkey software service vendor, in August 1995, which was renamed Nimbus Software Services.
