Alpha Records Inc. (2)

U.S. record company (1945 - ca. late 1940s). The launch of this company was announced in June 1945 by [I]Variety[/I]. Its sole record label, Alpha (15), would feature a variety of Latino artists, including Elsa Miranda and Los Andrinis and Alfredo Antonini And The Viva America Orchestra. In March 1946 the company introduced a 12" vinylite disc with two selections per side, pressed by RCA's custom products division. Records were distributed by Moses Asch's Disc Company Of America.
