Johanna
Настоящее имя: Johanna
Finnish label founded in 1979 by Musiikki- ja kirjatoimisto P. Karhu Oy, which changed its name to Johanna Kustannus Oy in June 1982. The label was moved under A.A.B. Tuotanto Oy in 1982, but Johanna Kustannus Oy released a couple of recordings through Johanna in 1984. The label was temporarily disbanded in 1984 after Johanna Kustannus Oy filed for bankruptcy. In the beginning the music publishing company was Love Kustannus Oy, from 1981 to 1982 P. Karhu Oy.
Since the late 1980s Johanna has been used mainly for re-releases of old material by Love Kustannus Oy. While a new Johanna Kustannus Oy was established after the bankruptcy was finalized in 1989, they used other labels instead of Johanna. Love Kustannus got a hold of more old Johanna material when AAB-Tuotanto sold them its back catalog before filing for bankruptcy in 2000. In 2002 Love Kustannus became the majority shareholder of Johanna Kustannus Oy, and in 2010 both companies were acquired by Universal Music, though for the time being they continued as subsidiaries. In 2012 Johanna Kustannus Oy and Johanna were reunited when the company started its 20X compilation series pulling material from the old Johanna back catalog.
On December 31, 2014 both companies - Johanna Kustannus Oy and Love Kustannus Oy - were merged to Universal Music Oy.
