Vertical cut label produced by various companies for the Crescent Talking Machine Co. Inc., 109 Reade St., New York City who used the records to promote their line of Crescent phonographs.
The earliest Crescent discs which appeared c.1916 were 8 inch records probably manufactured by Operaphone.
A second range of Crescent discs which appeared in late 1916 or early 1917 used a 100 catalog series and were manufactured by the Rex Talking Machine Corporation.
The third and final Crescent disc had a 10000 catalog series were manufactured by Pathe. They appeared ion November 1917 and the known range of this series is 10001-10060.
Both the second and third versions of Crescent discs were 10 inch records.
