Formed around 1998/99 by Matt Roth as a collective / label / recording studio / mail order distribution / online blog / club night for independently produced music, mainly of anti-folk roots. In 2012 the distro section closed and the main headquarters moved from New York to Kansas, as he and Nan Turner relocated their Schwervon! project.
