Superior Record Pressing Corp., Tempe, Arizona
Настоящее имя: Superior Record Pressing Corp., Tempe, Arizona
West Coast counterpart to Superior Record Pressing Corp., Somerdale, NJ, operated 1979-1991. The plant had it's own in-house plating department for making stampers and operated 8 x SMT 12" automatic presses and 4 x SMT dual-cavity 7" automatic presses.
SRP re-pressed many Motown releases originally pressed at RCA Records Pressing Plant, Hollywood using original RCA stampers; often, the RCA, Hollywood "H" stamp can be found under a strike-through in the runouts.
Their pressings are frequently identifiable by dual pressing ring configuration of approx. 2.75" (70 mm) humped outer ring plus approx. 1.390625" (29 mm) inner pressing ring.
Additionally, the letters "SRPCW" may also be found embossed next to the spindle hole within the inner ring on one side, though it may also appear without the identifying pressing ring configuration mentioned above.
