Lion Records (4)
Настоящее имя: Lion Records (4)
Originally created by MGM Records in the mid-1950s as a budget label (it began releasing 10" LPs in circa 1955, switching over to the standard 12" in 1958) . Its albums mainly consisted of compilations of new-to-LP singles and previously unreleased material as well as classical recordings. This version of the label was shut down in 1960. The label was reactivated in 1971 when Jimmy Webb closed down his MGM-distributed Lionel Records (2) label and many of its acts were transferred to the revived Lion label. It was permanently retired in 1973.
