The Estadio Ciudad de La Plata (City of La Plata Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium located in the city of La Plata, Argentina. It is also known popularly as the Estadio Único and is owned by the Province of Buenos Aires, administered jointly by the provincial government, the Municipality of La Plata, and the football clubs Estudiantes de La Plata and Gimnasia y Esgrima de la Plata. Concerts The Irish rock band U2 played 3 concerts at the stadium as part of U2 360° Tour. The shows happened on March 30, April 2 and 3, 2011. Guns N' Roses played here on October 8, 2011 as part of the Chinese Democracy Tour. Aerosmith performed here on October 28, 2011 during Back On the Road Tour. Pearl Jam played in here on November 13, 2011 during Pearl Jam Twenty Tour, and November 7, 2015 during Pearl Jam 2015 Latin America Tour. The popstar Britney Spears performed at the venue on November 20, 2011 during her Femme Fatale Tour. Black Sabbath played here with Megadeth on October 6, 2013 as part of the 13 Tour. Metallica performed at the venue on March 29 and 30, 2014 as part of the Metallica By Request Tour. Foo Fighters performed at the venue on January 18, 2015 as part of the Sonic Highways World Tour. The Rolling Stones made three shows at La Plata during their América Latina Olé Tour 2016. Coldplay played in La Plata two concerts during their A Head Full of Dreams Tour, after a show at this stadium was cancelled in 2013 scheduled to be part of the Mylo Xyloto Tour. Paul McCartney will perform on May 17 and 19, 2016 as part of the One On One Tour.
