Magyar Zeneműkiadó Vállalat
Настоящее имя: Magyar Zeneműkiadó Vállalat
Music Publisher
Magyar Zeneműkiadó Vállalat = Hungarian State Music Publisher
Founded on 1st July 1950 in Budapest, Hungary by the government.
The earlier existing independent music publishers in Hungary were nationalized, their activities were stopped and their property (including all contracts and obligations) was incorporated into this single state firm.
Later took the name: Editio Musica Budapest (EMB)
Due to the conditions resulting from the privatization of state firms in the 90s the privatization of EMB took place in 1994 when the Italian publisher Ricordi bought a majority share in the Hungarian firm. Later on both publishers passed into the hands of the German Bertelsmann Group and became part of Bertelsmann's music division (BMG).
In 2006 Bertelsmann sold its music publishing division to Universal Music Group.
In September 2017, Universal Music Publishing Group made a decision to create two legal successors from the existing EMB: Universal Music Publishing Editio Musica Budapest Zeneműkiadó Kft and Editio Musica Budapest Zeneműkiadó Kft.
Same firm is with shorter name: Zeneműkiadó, Budapest
Some misspelling of this firm exist. E.g.: Zenemuekiado-Vallalat; Zenemukiao.
