Favourite Records

Favourite Records was a small Berlin-based Rockabilly label, managed by Kunterbunt and S. Rekowski. Favourite Records became a well-known adress for pure, genuine rock'n'roll / rockabilly in the style of the 50ies - recorded rough and undiluted to keep the original spirit and feeling of pure rock'n'roll. Between 1998-2000 they released nine vinyl-records, starting with a 10" Compilation of 12 wild & rocking tracks, featuring rock'n'roll / rockabilly bands from their hometown Berlin. Later on, Favourite Records also started releasing bands which come from other areas. For some of the previously relatively unknown local bands presented on the labels first releases, this was the starting point for wordwide recognition, resulting in playing gigs all over the world in the following years.
