Blaupunkt

German brand for entertainment electronics, household appliances, car multimedia and various other electronics areas with headquarters in Hildesheim. The blue dot (Blaupunkt) was initially a test mark of Ideal Radiotelefon- & Apparatefabrik GmbH Berlin, founded in 1924, but then it became independent as a brand. The company became a subsidiary of Bosch and in 2008 parts were sold to the Munich-based investment holding Aurelius.
