Grünenthal

The Grünenthal GmbH is a German pharma company, founded in 1946, based in Aachen, infamous for the sleep-inducing drug Contergan (Thalidomid), by which, during the 1960s, some 2000 children died and about 10000 suffered severe deformations due its toxic effects on the unborn when taken during pregnancy.
