GMI Music Partners, (formerly known as Gospel Music International) was founded in 1976 by Ad Everaars, Paul Groeneveld, Louis Pool and Hans Groeneveld. It first started as a distribution company for The Challengers (4), but soon became a record label and distribution company for Dutch and later also international Artists. The name and logo has changed over the years. From 1976 to 1990 the company was called GMI Records (3). From 1990 until April 2003 the company was called GMI Music Partners. In April 2003 the label got a whole new layout and the name was changed to GMI Music. In 2010 the label folded and restarted as GMI Media International until its final bankruptcy in 2012. Next to being a record company with three different Labels GMI, Spark Music and Coyote Records (10), GMI Music Partners was European distributor for Provident Label group (Reunion Records, Essential Records, Benson, GospoCentric and Verity Records, Brentwood), Integrity Music and Kingsway Music.
