Point .44 Records
Настоящее имя: Point .44 Records
Dutch gabber/hardcore label. Owned by William Jordens aka DJ Jordens.
Division of Fonky Fibe Records until 1997. Now a division of "DJ World"
The original Point .44 Records and sublabels Darryl’s Choice, White Label and Point X existed for approximately 5 years in the heyday of gabber from 1993 until 1997. It became a sublabel of ID&T music in 1996. Like many late ID&T sublabel releases, several late-'97 releases of this label have been cancelled. Therefore Point .44 releases 710, 712 and 715 have not been officially released and exist without any artwork as white labels only. Other numbers in the catalogue are completely missing. This is a good example on how one moment the gabber labels in Holland were releasing frequently and enjoying commercial success, but the next they vanished.
In 2011 label owner Rob Boskamp and label manager William Jordens revived the label with new artist like Mainstage Maffia, Virulenz, Hardnoiser and more. Old tracks were being remixed and the originals remastered. New tracks also released.
In 2017 the Shooting Range series was being released as free downloads. A change for new artists to let their music be heard.
Than it became a little bit quiet around the label, but this changed again in 2020.
Point 44 Records teamed up with Brutal Force Records. New blood was pumped into the label. Remixes were made for each other, containing special Point 44 remixes on Brutal Force Records and Brutal Force remixes being released on Point 44 Records.
Then came the idea of releasing new vinyl and with contacts made by William through Danny Rondberg of BFR, the first new vinyl being released in the same year. Unfinished business, gold series has seen the daylight.
With the Gold Series part 4 coming up in 2022, Point 44 is still here and stronger than ever.
