Brain Boosters Records

English independent label based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. On early releases we were called Brain Booster Music and then Brain Booster Records and became Brain Boosters Records later. Also titled Brain Booster and Brain Boosters - all are the same label. It was a confusing time for all of us. Resurrected in 2020, now we are back as Brain Booster Music. Our first new project will be 40th anniversary re-release of South Specific. In 2019 members of Attic, the group who founded Brain Booster Music, started conversations around a celebration of the 40th anniversary of ‘South Specific’; a plan was conceived for 2020; to release a ‘special edition’ CD. This new album will include a CD featuring the original 1980 record with additional musical rarities from Pompey bands who were making music back in 1980. A further two CD's will feature bands currently making music in Portsmouth in 2020. The release is now set for December 2020.
