"World's Largest Producers of Railroad Records" Started as Ralbar Productions—a small, custom recording service that pressed yearbook records for schools. Commissioned in 1960 by the Reading Company to produce a souvenir record, then a half-dozen railroad-themed releases later, they adopted the name Semaphore Records.
