Mouth Almighty Records

Founded by Bob Holman, Bill Adler, Jim Coffman and Sekou Sundiata in 1995, Mouth Almighty / Mercury Records (previously NuYo Records in 1994) remains the only major-label backed spoken word record company, ever. During its five-year run, they released nineteen records of poetry, spoken word, and music from a dizzying diversity of poets such as William S. Burroughs, Sekou Sundiata, The Last Poets, Allen Ginsberg, Timothy Leary, Wammo, and Maggie Estep as well as others.
