People Of Rhythm

Electronic label headed by Brian Keigher: aka DJ Warp, former resident at Smart Bar Chicago, Shelter and Sonotheque clubs. Also a percussionist, producer and music promoter who worked as the Electronic, World Music, Reggae and Latin Music Buyer at Tower Records in Chicago for many years in addition to working marketing for record labels Rawkus Records and Astralwerks and Grand Royal. Keigher was also the Music Programs Manager for Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs. People of Rhythm Records releases include limited vinyl releases in 1998 and 1999 by Midwest electronic music legend Freddy Fresh, aka Modulator "Birth EP' (POR001) on blue vinyl, Minneapolis techno wizard Paul Birken "One Way Whamy EP" (POR002) on red vinyl. Art and design was created by acclaimed artist Cody Hudson, Struggle Inc. Each has been licensed for various mix CDs and compilations including Acid Junkies "Acid Life 2" and Bad Boy Bill's "Bang the Box V.4". After a nearly twenty year hiatus, the label has resurfaced to release additional music again, including a brand new limited vinyl 7" by acclaimed UK producer, Luke Vibert. The third release on the label, Luke Vibert's "Turn EP" releases on May 25, 2018. The EP features the late, great, Moog legend and Luke's old Moog Acid collaborator Jean Jacques Perrey on the track "JJP" which Luke dedicated to in his honor.
