Chissa Entertainment Group

South African company formed in 2001 by legendary musician Hugh Masekela (chairman) with business partners Irfaan Gillan (CEO) and Motlalepula Twala. The ambitious venture was involved in video production, A&R and concert promotion. The Chissa group included labels division Chissa Music Entertainment and two imprints, Chissa Records and Bala Bros. Records. In 2008 and after just over a dozen CD/DVD releases the company disappeared off the stage and had gone into liquidation by the end of the year 2009.
