Syddansk Musikkonservatorium, Esbjerg, abbreviated SDMK, Esbjerg (English: Danish National Academy Of Music, Esbjerg), is the Esbjerg branch of Syddansk Musikkonservatorium & Skuespillerskole which was renamed "Syddansk Musikkonservatorium (SDMK) - Danish National Academy of Music" in 2015.
Syddansk Musikkonservatorium, Esbjerg is the continuation of Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium, founded 1946, and is the result of a 2010 merger of the conservatories Vestjysk Musikkonservatorium and Det Fynske Musikkonservatorium/Carl Nielsen Academy Of Music, and the Odense Teater acting school. The Odense branch is "Syddansk Musikkonservatorium, Odense (SDMK, Odense).
Syddansk Musikkonservatorium, Esbjerg is housed in the city’s old power station in Kirkegade, which also includes the Concert Hall in the old turbine hall (with a large Marcussen concert organ), the live venue Café Ørsted, and the studio Tuborg Studiet.
