Artur Schnabel - Beethoven Sonatas (WRC)
Настоящее имя: Artur Schnabel - Beethoven Sonatas (WRC)
1930s recordings of Beethoven's piano sonatas by Artur Schnabel. Initially issued on 78 at the time, they were reissued on LP in the early 1960s, then remastered by WRC in the early 1970s. Issued as a series of 13 LPs issued by the World Record Club in Australia from 1970 to 1974. Initially released as part of the "Connoisseur" Series, the series name changed to the less patrician "Retrospect" series in 1971. The series was issued at least four times.
The second pressing began in the pre-1975 period, with minor changes in presentation (label font, label style, type of sleeve, the type of plastic used for the inner sleeve), although the sleeve design remained the same, and the catalogue numbers on the labels were unchanged.
Pressings from late 1974 to 1976 can be identified by the "R" numbers on the labels, and the presence of the laminate strip on the back of the sleeve.
Pressings from 1977 have the "R" numbers on the labels, but no laminate strip on the back of the sleeve..
