Former Swedish car importer founded by Gunnar Valfrid Philipson (* November 8, 1883 in Skällvik Parish, died March 21, 1970). The company has largely been associated with the import and resale of Mercedes-Benz cars. In 1926, the Automobile Palace was built at Sankt Eriksgatan. Philipson's car dealership peaked in the mid-1980s, gradually shrinking. In 2011, the three remaining facilities in Falun, Karlstad and Örebro got part of the Finnish dealer Veho bil.
