Open-air stadium that existed between 1926 and 1992. Venue for stadium sized concerts from 1965 and 1989, it was the the US location for the Live Aid concert in July 1985.
The stadium was condemned in 1989, six days after its final concert by The Grateful Dead, after numerous complaints of poor and dangerous conditions at the stadium. It was demolished in 1992 and replaced by Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia.
