Goldband Records

Independent record label founded in 1945 and based in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Run by musician and songwriter Eddie Shuler (1913-2005), who also had his own Goldband Recording Studio in the tiny backroom of his radio & tv shop. There he recorded a wild variety of styles: Cajun, swamp pop, zydeco, rhythm & blues, rockabilly, country, blues and soul. For unofficial releases use Goldband Records (2).
