Fartblossom Enterprizes
Настоящее имя: Fartblossom Enterprizes
American independent label founded by Bob Durkee in the early 1980s, based in Pomona, California.
Durkee started recording shows in Southern California—ranging from early punk and hardcore bands like Black Flag, Bad Brains, Minor Threat and the Necros to locals like Dream Syndicate and major label acts such as the Talking Heads and King Crimson. In 1982 he began putting them on cassette under the name Fartblossom Enterprises, assigning them FBE catalog numbers based on the order they were recorded. Only a few of the more than 30 recordings were ever sold commercially, through Poo-Bah Record Shop in Pasadena and Toxic Shock in Pomona. The "live bootleg" era of Fartblossom ended in 1984 and Durkee started operating the label as an official Enterprize, resetting the catalog numbers back to FBE-001 for the Empty Skulls compilation.
Fartblossom would go on to release almost two dozen tapes and records over the course of the next decade.
The label is being restarted in 2013 with new releases coming in the fall. The address listed below is current and Bob may be contacted through this address.
