Balalayka Records (ООО "Балалайка Рекордс") is a pirate Russian label \ company. Not all releases carry the label's logo: some releases mention various fake (non-existent) companies such as Off Limitse Records, others mention labels & companies taken from official release the label made a pirate\counterfeit copy of. Here are some hints to recognize 'Balalayka Records' products: - Barcode 4608042004879 appears on many different releases of this company - Matrix numbers, beginning with BAL- , BAL-ALT-, BAL-DP- , BAL-RR- , BAL-RH, BAL-RSH- , BAL-NEA- , BAL-NEO- ("ALT" means "Alternative", "DP" - "Dance Planet", "RR" - Russian Rock, "RH" - Russian Hit, "RSH" - Russian Chanson -> these were used on pirate releases compiled by the label; "NEA" and "NEO" were used on CDs, which were copies of releases of other labels, where "NEO" were usually counterfeit CDs, and "NEA" were 'pirate' CDs with stronger re-designed artwork). Matrix areas of Balalayka Records CDs had similar design, with clear pattern (which allows to distinguish confidently releases of this company from pressings of other companies with "BAL-" in the matrix).
