Teatro Paramount, São Paulo

Venue located on Avenida Brigadeiro Luís Antônio, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Latin America's first sound cinema, it was inaugurated in 1929. On July 13, 1969, a fire destroyed much of its facilities. Recovered in the 1970s, it went into decline until it closed in 1996. It was renovated in 2000. It was Teatro Abril from when it reopened in 2001 to 2012. Currently named Teatro Renault.
