HMV Junior Records
Настоящее имя: HMV Junior Records
Children's record label. Also written as H.M.V. Junior Record Club and HMV JRC.
The label has a logo very similar to the one used by Children's Record Guild Of Australia and Children's Record Guild Of New Zealand - no coincidence, as H.M.V. licensed the discs from World Record Club, whose production team, Fiona Bentley Productions, had made many of the recordings. Often, the original W.R.C. cover artwork has also been used. In the U.K., W.R.C. had issued many of them on its own children's label, Conquest (3). In the 1970s, EMI Greece used the label for some otherwise unrelated LPs for children.
Labels usually have "recording first published [date]", but the date of the EP's issue is not explicitly stated. The label was launched in December 1961, with magazines giving away a promo flex-disc, HMV Junior Joy Ride, featuring excerpts from 11 of the EPs: at the end Steve Race says "altogether, there are 33 wonderful titles to choose from".
