Volenza

Volenza – a family company moving against the tide How Volenza was born It all started in 2005. Torgil Rosenberg had produced his memoirs, Trots och tack vare… (Thanks to and in spite of…). Torgil – a retired dentist also with strong commitment to private aviation and music, who has produced aviation magazines and a music magazine in his spare time – contacted some publishers looking for interest to publish them. With no interest shown, Torgil created Volenza, edited and finished the book the way he wanted it and it was published in the autumn 2005. The name Volenza is created from the words vol – connected to flying – and volenta – from will or consent – and these are concepts imprinting to a large extent the life of Torgil. When the idea popped up to produce a jazz record it became natural to incorporate it in Volenza, now a publishing house and a label.
