Deep In The Heart of Texas Records was a "fan only" label started in 1998 and released 50 rare, mostly "live sets" up until 2004, when they "closed shop".. Based in Austin, Texas, "The Live Music Capitol of the World", the releases were never officially released, or even commercially "bootlegged", and were distributed "free of charge" to collectors the world over.
