Old Colony Mastering

Mastering studio founded in South Boston, MA by mastering engineer Scott Craggs. Old Colony Mastering is currently located in North Scituate, RI. To Mark its 20th anniversary, Craggs built a brand new 600sf purpose-built mastering suite. "We love EQs and compressors as much as anyone, but the room is the most important thing, and a lot of work went into making this one a great one. The entire ceiling and front and back 'walls' are massive bass traps. The modular side walls handle mid-range absorption, while the custom diffusors retain high frequencies and keep things sounding nice & natural. The no-compromise acoustic design yields a uniformly short decay time and flat frequency response, which is all just a fancy way to say it sounds wonderful in here."
