Cold Chillin'
Настоящее имя: Cold Chillin'
A New York hip hop label that released many classic hip hop records from the late 1980s to the early 1990s.
Founded in 1986 with Len Fichtelberg serving as President, it initially operated closely with Fichtelberg's Prism label. In late 1987, it signed a five year distribution deal with Warner Bros. Records corporate parent and effectively began to operate as an imprint until early 1994. It was subsequently distributed by Epic Street/SME Records and transitioned into a reissue label as it ceased issuing new material. LandSpeed Records acquired the Cold Chillin' brand around 1998. However, Big Daddy Kane’s works remained with Warner Bros.
Most of the label's releases were by members of the Juice Crew, a loose-knit group of artists centered around producer Marley Marl.
