Future Sound Studios, Soest

Recording studio in Soest near Utrecht, Holland. The studio was most active in the Hip-House era at the end of the 1980's and the early 1990's. Rene van Verseveld moved with his studio from Utrecht to Soest in 1989. This marked an end to the cooperation with Marc Hartman, who worked with him in the Future Sound Studios, Utrecht. Main objective was to gain a bigger studio and to get more into HipHop driven House-sound, which he got known on a travel to L.A. in that time period. Amongst the engineers and mixers, who frequently used this studio were Fabian Lenssen, Phil Wilde, Theo De Witte, Rene van Verseveld and his alias Quincy Lizer. This period of the Future Sound Studios lasted until 1994, when van Verseveld left Europe to continue his career in Los Angeles. There, he immediately founded its successor Future Sound Laboratories.
