Skatkis

Label based in Pretoria, South Africa. Specialises in releasing original recordings of vintage South African music on LP from the 78 rpm format they originally were released in. 'Skatkis' is 'Treasure Chest' in Afrikaans and the objective of the label is to preserve a Treasure Chest of Afrikaans music, particularly Boeremusiek. The LPs produced by this label are in a series called the 'Skatkis Reeks' and are numbered.
