Andreas Bingel is the funder and head of Deja-Tunes. Bingel’s career began as an artist, songwriter, musician and producer cooperating with the Hamburg publisher Scoop Music back in 1995. 1997 Bingel got signed to Mercury Records, nowadays Universal Records. With the ‘Ich-Zwerg’ (German Rap / Pop) project he toured with the Black Eyed Peas, Jazzkantine and Tab Two. Bingel cooperated with the legendary film-scorewriter Peter Thomas (Edgar Wallace, Raumpatroullie Orion) and worked in New York to have his album mixed in the legendary D&D Hip-Hop studio. Gigs on the German Popkomm and Hurricane/Southside festival and many further live-shows, his videos that were played on MTV and Viva on heavy rotation, plus many long nights at many studios all over the globe have built the fundament for his further activities.
In 2000 Bingel funded the agency Deja-Tunes and started to take the first steps into an international music-market. More than 150 releases with his projects Deja-Move and Aaron Bingle (Brazilectro, Hôtel Costes, Asialounge, on labels suchlike Sony Music, Universal Records, BMG, Wagram Records France and more) were following. Cooperations with artists suchlike Nneka, Lizz Fileds and Hellmut Hattler or his project Channel Two together with his partner form L.A., that featured guests like Patrice and Apl de Ap from the Black Eyed Peas, brought Bingel some international attention and reputation. The Rolling Stone magazine wrote: ‘Aaron Bingle has an amazing collection of synthezisers and he really knows how to tweak them’.
The absorption in the studiowork brought many licensings in different medial sectors and requests for musicproductions in advertisement, films and tv. Bingel cooperated with the US-American agency ‘Transcenders Music’ and produced music for the film ’Bring It On – In It To Win It/Fox Searchlight’ or contributed music for serveral scenes in the tv series ‘Outsourced/NBC’. Licensings of titles for tv series like ’Melrose Place 2009′ or ‘Smallville’ were no rarity. Bingel’s studio grew to become a strong unit that does not stand for music productions only, the mastering suite is a permanent feature on the way of expansion. Bingel mastered the latest ‘GZSZ Compilation’ for Embassy of Music and mastered the single ‘High Heels’ featuring the famous soulsinger ‘Omar’ for Agogo Records.
The network of international contacts to artists and companies grew stronger and Bingel started to connect the work of producers and music-creatives out of his environment with partners and new products. This was the basic motivation to fund Deja-Tunes as a label and a publishing unit (Deja Music Publishing). These two tools build the main-instruments and are giving Bingel a structured basic for his work. Today you can find artists suchlike Tobitob (5 Sterne Deluxe / Moonbootica), The Bas Lexter Ensample and the DJ Michael Sauer from Mojo Club environment on his label.
