Soccer stadium in Gelsenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia. Also known as: Auf Schalke, Arena AufSchalke and Gelsenkirchen Arena. It is the home ground of FC Schalke 04. The multifunctional stadium with a closable roof and sliding pitch grass also serves as a venue for concerts, opera performances and a regular biathlon competition. Depending on the type of event, the spectator capacity can be increased to a maximum of 79.612 by seating and standing room inside.
