The Derby Club was among the most famous Milanese active nightlife in the sixties and seventies
In 1959 the couple Giovanni and Angela Bongiovanni (maternal uncles actor Diego Abatantuono) open a restaurant and call it Gi-Go. The areas have been restored in the basement of an Art Nouveau building in Via Monte Rosa 84, Milano suburb close to the hippodrome of San Siro.
At the beginning of the sixties the two years they decide to turn it into a local "to lie and listen to music", thus trying to revive the low turnover of the previous year.
In 1962 Gianni Bongiovanni involved Enrico Intra in the club which was renamed Intra's Derby Club.
In 1964 Enrico Intra and others artist disbanded, so the club was renamed Derby Club.
It was closed in 1986.
