In February 1979, it was announced by Multiple Sound Distributors that Multiple Sound Pressings would also press releases on the Chevron (2) label.
MSP were already manufacturing records and tapes for the Warwick Records, Pickwick Records, Reader's Digest and K-Tel labels.
In August 1979, MSD purchased the two plants owned by Immediate Sound Services Ltd.; the London branch, and the branch in Caerphilly, Wales formerly owned by Rediffusion Records, for $1.5m. This would make MSD Ltd.'s pressing division the largest privately owned pressing facility in the market. At this time the Leicester plant was temporarily closed for re-equipping after a fire.
