The Hop Bine, London
Настоящее имя: The Hop Bine, London
British pub located in Wembley, Brent, London, UK. Since defunct.
During the 1950s to 1980s was used as a music venue. Situated on East Lane (on the junction with Peel Road), North Wembley, "The Hop Bine" was a 1930s Truman's pub designed by AE Sewell, it was then the "Chequered Flag", then the "Dog & Duck", then "Bootsey Brogans", then restaurant "Desi Dons", and finally is now a branch of Tescos Express supermarket.
In the 1970s it held a teds/rockabillys/rockers night, with a DJ called "Fifties Flash" (aka Keith). British saxophonist Tommy Whittle used to run a late 1960s to early 1970s jazz night there, where the likes of British saxophonist Tubby Hayes and others sometimes played. It was also used for filming an episode of the TV series "The Professionals" in the 1980s.
