Label (no more active, approx. 1999 to 2003) based in Madrid (initially showing Montréal, San José, Costa Rica, Australia), created to "redefine world music", managed by Claude-Emmanuel Ajavon. Jazz and World Music are part of the few musical trends that are able to propose new and original concepts to a global audience, an audience which largely calls for originality and authenticity. From Madrid to Havana, and from Sydney to Accra, Tamarindo Records is supporting and investing in artists who identify themselves with this concept.
