Prolific Recordings

UK Garage label, established in 1998 by Matthew Coleman AKA MJ Cole. Matt was not permitted to release records on other labels whilst signed to Talkin' Loud but revived Prolific in January 2004 when freed from this contract. Andy Lewis (2) (of Locked On fame) was the label's A&R until PROPH 106 but left Prolific in summer 2005 to work on other projects. Label head from February 2006 was DJ Charma, owner of Stereohype Recordings. The label's last release was in 2013. MJ Cole established a new label, 892 Recordings in 2016.
