USA Abner Spector, composer, producer and president of Tuff Records established the label in the early sixties. He scored hits with The Corsairs and The Jaynetts. The label was distributed by Chess out of Chicago. It operated as a division of Spectator Productions, Inc. throughout the 1960s. For Unofficial / Bootleg releases, please use Tuff (3).
