Dutch folk band from Ulft (region Achterhoek). The band started in 1975. The name of the band comes from a house - that has been squatted by hobos - mentioned in the book Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. Initially the group played traditional folk music. From the early eighties the group played more electrically amplified. According to the anti-nuclear energy demonstration, the band wrote and played the song 'Dodewaard moet dicht'. Members: Caspar Falke: mandolin, banjo, guitar Willy Ebbers: vocals, drums, percussion (left for the recording of the second album) Henny Hegman: tin whistle, flute, percussion Hans Hegman: vocals, accordion, chimes Wolf Overkamp: vocals, violin, guitar Eline Harbers: vocals (left for the recording of the second album) Gerard Hegman: vocals, bass guitar, banjo Mark Noordhoek: drums (took the place of Ebbers) (Technician: André Pasman).
