Ron Wells (6)

Ron was born on the 25th August 1940 at Warialda, NSW Australia. His father was a shearer and Ron and his family travelled around the sheds in an old Nash car and caravan. His first public appearance was at a Goondiwindi picture theatre with a school concert and sang "Waltzing Matilda" when he was 10. Ron was able to pick up a few music chords whilst visiting Buddy Bishop in his Tamworth shop - this was in the 50's before Tamworth was Country Music Capital.
