Stefano Succi

Stefano Succi has been section leader of the 2nd violins in the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra since 2005. Born in Rimini in 1964, he studied with Ida Coppola in Pesaro and completed his training with Corrado Romano in Geneva at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique with the "Prix de Virtuosité". From 1991–1994 Stefano Succi was a member of the renowned chamber orchestra “I Solisti Veneti” directed by Claudio Scimone and has appeared on numerous tours as a soloist in the ensemble. 1996–2000 he played as first concertmaster in the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen and 2000–2005 he was concertmaster in the SWR-Rundfunkorchester Kaiserslautern. Further appearances as a soloist have taken him to the Magdeburg Philharmonic, the New Westphalia Philharmonic and the Slovenian Philharmonic. In 2006 his recording of Max Bruch's Violin Concerto in G minor with the SWR Radio Orchestra Kaiserslautern was released.
