Robert Marquam

Drummer from Lubbock, Texas. who was later based in Austin, Texas. Marquam joined The Joe Ely Band in 1980, remaining with the group until Ely dissolved it in 1982. After this, he joined fellow Joe Ely Band member Ponty Bone in the band The Squeezetones. Marquam died in Lubbock at age 34 on March 1, 1983 after suffering head injuries in February 1983 when he jumped or fell from a slow-moving car and was found unconscious the next day. After an investigation, the police ruled his death accidental.
