Alma Nova

Band formed by Edson Luiz Fonseca Leite, former member of Barbarella (10). Banda Alma Nova appeared in July 1989, with the aim of animating dancing parties. At the beginning of 1990, the first album was released by the ACIT label, with the songs "Minutos" and "Garota Linda", written by Ademir Mezacasa and Ademar Flach, both band members. These songs were very popular on mainstream radio stations in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and in the same year of release they were part of a compilation album released by the label. From then on, the band began to perform in clubs in the capital and in the main places of the countryside, conquering a large number of admirers. The next step was the recording of the album "Nossa Canção", released in 1992, with the song "Minha Lady" as its single, a Brazilian Portuguese version of "You're a Woman" by Appledat Hendrix Van Halen, which was immediately accepted by listeners. With these hits, concerts began to take place in many cities of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
