Scott Hoyt (2)

Musician, vocalist and songwriter, originally from Orange, Texas. In 1976, Scott Hoyt founded the pop rock band Tangerine with his sister Helen. Tangerine broke up in late 1977 and Hoyt toured the U.S. playing guitar and singing lead with the pop group The Grass Roots from 1978 to 1980. Tangerine reformed in early 1982 to begin a long-running stint at Club Lafitte at the Holiday Inn in Beaumont, Texas. After Tangerine broke up again in 1984, Hoyt relocated to Austin, Texas and joined the rock group 14 K. After around three years, Hoyt left to pursue a country music career. More recently, Scott and Helen began performing acoustic shows as an Everly Brothers tribute. He also works as a tour bus driver for other musicians.
