Fresh Jay

DJ FRESH JAY is a music producer and one of the best DMC championship DJs in the world, since he has competed for this title for six times, and in 1995 he won the 4th place in the competition in London with 3 turntables show. Together with Darko Juranovic D'Knock he is a founding member of the production duo PlayOne, as well as a co-founder of Liveinthemix music label. As producers and authors, DJ Fresh Jay & D'Knock have previously collaborated with some of the most renowned artists on the international music scene, such as queen of house music Barbara Tucker, UK Grammy Award-winning music producer Andy Wright, Mick Hucknall (Simply Red), DJ Spen (Quantize Recordings), Peter Grant, Amrick Channa, Barb&Q Project, among others. Together with D’Knock and Z. Dusper "Rei Noel", DJ Fresh Jay collaborated on the global humanitarian project for the homeless "We Can Heal". Barbara Tucker, one of the initiators of the project, gathered a large number of the world's top vocalists and remixers, including PlayOne, to produce the single "We Can Heal".Its first edition includes versions by PlayOne, Frankie Knuckles (The Godfather of House Music) & Eric Kupper, DJ Spen & Gary Hudgins and Rhemi. The Playone's remix of the song "We Can Heal" reached No. 1 on the Traxsource's Electro House Top 100 sales chart! DJ Fresh Jay & D'Knock are also co-founders of the Papaya Day & Night Festival (Papaya Club, Zrce), and their names appear on the Papaya Day & Night Vol. 1 – Vol. 5 compilations, as well as on numerous music releases and remixes for Croatian and international performers. In summer 1999, DJ Fresh Jay started with a house music oriented movement called Magic Grooves. The general idea was to promote the urban culture and to help developing the Croatian clubbing scene combining house, groove, tribal, hard house etc. To push off the promotion of Magic Grooves, DJ Fresh Jay produced a track called “In The House” that soon become an anthem, which also had a noticable success abroad. Some of Fresh's biggest offshore projects: 1) RMX for Grandmaster Flash “If you wanna party” (published in 1999 with Austrian label “Jam”, distributor “Zyx Music”, RMXfor label KosmoMusic”, ”Talisman P meets Barrington Levy-Here I Come (Sing DJ)” (2001 - distributed by “Universal Music”); 2) FRESH JAY - GOOD STUFF cosmophilia distribution; 3) CD COMPILATION „WELCOME TO HACIENDA“ (with the hit track „GET DOWN SUPERFUNK“).
